About me

About me

I have always loved telling stories. It started when I was growing up as an only child with a rich inner life. I often imagined what it would be like to run away and live in the forest or build a home in a boxcar. The floor in my childhood bedroom still squeaks where I used to walk as I came up with my tales.

I went to school for Communication with the hopes of finding a career that would allow me to write and move out of my parent's house. In addition to all my required courses, I took every single creative writing class offered by my college. And while my writing and voice started to take shape, there's always been a part of me that's still that lonely kid, walking in circles in her room.

After college, I landed a rare writing job in a blue-collar industry. The fact that I'm willing to spend my whole day writing, and then go home and write for myself is either a sign of true passion or pathological need. Like most things, it's probably a bit of both.

About My Work

It started with a middle-of-the-night pitstop at a rundown gas station in the middle of nowhere - with the frogs louder than a jet engine and sweat running down the back of my knees - and I thought: what a perfect place to fall in love.

After that night, I kept thinking about two people. From different places with different lives, but both lonely, tired, and searching for something more. I wondered what might happen if their paths crossed at a similar gas station - if they might start as strangers, each outsiders in their own lives, building an unlikely bond against the background of a sticky, sun-soaked summer.

I'm excited to see where this next chapter takes me, and I hope you are too. I'm currently editing my complete manuscript, with plans for beta readers in Fall 2026.
